The first Joey's Only Seafood Restaurant opened in Calgary, Canada in 1985. A fanatical fisherman and master chef, Joey Klassen, mad his vision of a seafood diner reality.

The menu featured the best fish and chips you ever had, cooked fresh with Joey's special seasonings and batter, as well as other seafood treats. The first Joey's Only seafood restaurant opened with only 39 seats. Between 1985 and 1991, the chain grew to nine company owned restaurants in the Calgary area. Since the initiation of franchising in 1992 we have since grown to over 100 locations across Canada and in phase of hyper growth in the United States.

In May 2005 we changed our name to Joey's Seafood & Grill. Our reinvented image frequently includes a full bar, along with more upscale and modern colors and textures, while preserving our fun and authentic nature.

In addition to our really quick and friendly service, high quality standards, and the world's best Fish & Chips, we are building our reputation with ocean fish, shrimp, crab, pasta, salads, fish tacos, and burgers, all cooked fresh with great sauces and toppings. We are nationally recognized and eager to work with the best and the brightest, during a truly exciting time of international growth.
